I've been sitting here trying to come up with the right words that would somehow describe what I experienced tonight, but that has proven to be next to impossible.
I've decided that what happened tonight at Catalyst is not really able to be described. I mean, I guess I could throw out words like "amazing" and "cool" and "incredible"... and those would all be accurate... but that doesn't even begin to do it justice.
Listen, baptism isn't magical. There's nothing special about the water or anything. It's the stories behind what resulted in these people getting baptized that is special. Baptism is simply the public declaration of your association with Christ.
What happened tonight was the living, breathing, visual definition of why we do what we do. Life-change. People's actual real lives... changed by Jesus Christ.
Stories of who they were, washed away. As one of the guys who was baptized said... a "rebirth".
I wonder sometimes why on earth God lets me be a part of what he's doing at Catalyst.

I love Baptisms. This is one of the best experiences that we can witness. I'd love see the pics from last night. You guys are certainly impacting some lives with the Gospel....love it.
Coffee next week?
