It's becoming a tradition around here... and since Casey put the pressure on me with this post, I guess I have to deliver. That being said, here are a few things rolling around in my mind as another Sunday evening is upon us...
- Started a brand new series at Catalyst today called "Simple". This is the series that Andy did live to open the new Buckhead Church building back in May. Oddly enough, the North Point peeps haven't seen it yet, so that's kind of cool.
- The title of today's sermon was "Follow", so Michael and the band kicked things off with a classic tune from U2 called, appropriately enough, "I Will Follow". You can't beat having a little U2 in the mix.
- It was nice to get back to our two service schedule this morning.
- Greenville County schools start back tomorrow morning. That must mean Fall isn't far off...now bring on the cool weather, please!
- Kristi and I had a GREAT 5th Anniversary on Friday.
- My best friend Chris, and his wife Katie, just adopted a child. They met him and brought him home for the first time on Thursday. They named him Zeke, which I think is cool. So excited to watch him grow up. They are going to be fantastic parents.
- The charges continue to pile up on Michael Vick, and they seem to be getting worse as they go along. Unbelievable. That dude is pretty much done.
- iTunes has a new feature that allows you to add a "my iTunes" widget to your blog. You can customize it several different ways. I just added it - it's over there on the left somewhere...
- 2 words - Madden '08. Okay, not sure if technically "08" counts as a word, but who cares... that game is stinkin' awesome and it's even better that it's on the Wii.
- I'm getting excited about the new book "Mad Church Disease" by Anne Jackson. This is a book that needs to be written, and I really enjoy Anne's perspective on things. If you've not been to her blog before, check it out here. She also has a blog set up for the book here. Both are excellent reads.
That's all I got for now... more later!
today was a great sunday!
p.s. you should invite a friend (cough*me*cough) over to play madden.
