This morning, Andy challenged us to pray big. Praying big means praying for things so big that there is absolutely no possible way it can happen unless God steps in. God is honored by our big prayers. It's not that God doesn't listen to our small prayers... He certainly does, and He certainly cares about those things. But when was the last time you prayed big?
At Catalyst, we're praying big right now. We're praying that God would step in and allow our church to continue to exist beyond this month. If that doesn't qualify as praying big, I'm not sure what does.
Since we started Catalyst, God has done some amazing things and given us numerous stories of life-change. However, like most church plants, we've also faced numerous challenges. Thankfully, we've been fortunate to overcome most of our challenges... except one. Money. The bottom line: We're simply not receiving enough money to continue having church beyond this month.
This morning, Casey outlined the financial challenge we are facing right now. It's big, folks. And it's going to take praying big to overcome this. Over the next 9 days, here is what we need to have happen in order for Catalyst Church to continue to exist...
- We need $35,000 given over and above our normal weekly offerings by January 15th.
- We need 35 families or individuals to commit to becoming or remaining regular percentage givers. God calls us to give 10% of our income. If you're not able to commit to 10%, start with 5% and begin giving consistently with the intention of reaching or surpassing that 10% in due time.

We need you to pray big. We need you to commit big. We need you to give big. If Catalyst Church is going to exist beyond this month, it's up to us.
I'm praying Big for Catalyst. I agree that G-ville needs a church like Catalyst.
God, we can trust you, for you have never forsaken those who seek you. We anticipate that you will do much more than we can ask or think. Bless Catalyst and multiply their impact for the sake of this city!
