well, we arrived safely back in greenville late last night after spending the last 5 days in virginia. we really had a great trip. our hotel suite was super nice and super comfortable. we had an incredible sunday at waters edge. we met lots of new friends. i did a little work in the office for a couple of days, and we spent a good bit of time looking for a place to live.
in fact, i'm pretty sure the only bad thing that happened on our trip was the monsoon we had to endure the entire ride home yesterday. seriously... heavy rain, 450 miles of interstate, and an overtired (almost) two-year old are not a good mix. trust me. i digress...
as i mentioned, a good bit of our time was spent looking for a place to live. it's a lot of fun, but there's one giant problem with that... even if we found it, we couldn't exactly pull the trigger on it. you know, we've got that whole pesky "need to sell a house in south carolina" thing going on right now. yeah.
so here's our problem... we need to get up there in january. we have a house to sell here. obviously i can't live here and work there. and even more obviously, we can't afford two house payments. so what should we do? how can this work?
as it turns out, there were several options that surfaced. the most promising is a family in @ waters edge in which the husband/dad is deployed overseas. during his deployment, the wife/mom has taken the kids and gone to live with her parents. while they're gone, they have graciously offered for kristi, logan and i to live in their house while we wait for ours to sell... rent free! are you kidding me?!?!
i'm blown away by this family's generosity. especially given the fact that i've never even met them. i'm even more blown away by the fact that god continues to provide for us in ways we can't even explain.
That is sooo amazing. We are so excited for you guys. How awesome is GOD!
