today is march 5th.
march 5th is a significant day in my life... and a day i think of often. eleven years ago, on march 5th, my mom lost her battle with cancer.
on this day last year, i posted these thoughts on the 10th anniversary of her death. the words i wrote then are the words i feel now. rather than trying to capture my thoughts again, i'll let those words speak for me today. feel free to read them if you have a moment.
as a side note... this sunday, we're starting a new series @ waters edge called "in the dark". the premise of the series is that some of us are destroyed by our circumstances, while others of us are defined by them. during this series, i'll be sharing part of my story of dealing with the loss of my mom at a young age... clearly one of the most defining moments of my life.
Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for sharing these raw thoughts. I am so sorry that you lost your mother at such a young age. My mom and I are so close and I can not imagine how hard that must have been. It is beautiful to think of her up their mothering your siblings and your precious child, her grandchild, that you and Kristi just let go to heaven. Thanks again for sharing!
